
- Sergiu Leahu, 40, has been charged with the murder of 42-year-old Masum Miah following a fatal shooting in east London.
- Police were called to St Bartholomew’s Road in East Ham at around 3am on 18 August, where Mr Miah was found with gunshot wounds inside a car and pronounced dead at the scene.
- Leahu, who is of no fixed address, is scheduled to appear at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
- Detective Chief Inspector Dan Whitten appealed for witnesses and requested CCTV, dashcam, or doorbell footage from the public to assist the investigation.
- Officers are specifically seeking information regarding a black Nissan Juke seen in the vicinity of St Bartholomew’s Road between the evening of 17 August and the early hours of 18 August.
