KOTA KINABALU: The Muslim World League distributed Ramadhan food baskets to underprivileged families across Sabah on Feb 12–13 under its 1447H humanitarian programme, alongside meetings with religious authorities and local NGOs to expand welfare cooperation.

The delegation, led by its Malaysia director with officials from its Makkah headquarters, held discussions with the Sabah Mufti and partners including Pertubuhan Islam Seluruh Sabah on coordinated outreach and structured aid for vulnerable communities.

Talks focused on long-term collaboration in food security, education and capacity-building programmes aimed at underserved groups statewide, reinforcing institutional partnerships ahead of Ramadhan.

Malaysian celebrity volunteer Atu Zero joined distribution efforts, helping raise awareness on collective responsibility to support families in need during the fasting month.
