Starting 1 October 2025, Malaysians can only log in to the MyBayar PDRM app using MyDigital ID. The update was officially announced by MyDigital ID on its X account.

For non-Malaysians, as well as companies and agencies, the current sign-in method using an existing user ID and password will remain available.

What the MyBayar PDRM App Offers

The MyBayar PDRM app is designed to make police-related transactions more convenient. Through the app, users can check and pay for traffic summonses and purchase accident investigation documents without visiting a police station.

Previous Announcements on Digital Identity Integration

The new rule follows an earlier announcement by MyDigital ID CEO, Nik Hisham Nik Ibrahim, in August 2025. At the time, he confirmed that both the MyBayar PDRM and MyJPJ apps would transition to MyDigital ID as the main login method.

In his 19 August statement, he said that MyDigital ID as a single login will make digital identity verification simpler, safer, and more transparent.

What is MyDigital ID?

MyDigital ID is a national digital identification system introduced by Mimos under the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI). It provides secure user authentication for online transactions and access to government services using a single ID.

The initiative aims to streamline logins across various platforms while improving safety and transparency in digital interactions.

Private Sector Adoption Expected

Beyond government services, the private sector is also expected to adopt MyDigital ID in the future. Banks and other financial institutions are among those anticipated to integrate the system as part of wider digitalisation efforts.

How Malaysians Can Register

Malaysians who have yet to sign up for MyDigital ID can do so through the MyDigital ID app or by visiting kiosks listed on the official MyDigital ID website.
