A TOTAL of RM314 million in government revenue collected by My E.G. Sdn Bhd (MYEG) and Zetrix AI Berhad has not been remitted to the Ministry of Transport (MOT) Accounting Office’s main revenue account for the period between May 19 and September 30.
Transport Minister Anthony Loke emphasised that, consequently, the Road Transport Department (JPJ) has decided to suspend the services of MYEG and Zetrix AI Berhad as JPJ revenue collection agents, effective today, due to the companies' failure to fulfil their obligation to remit government revenue collections within the stipulated timeframe.
“I want to clarify some media reports claiming that JPJ and MOT failed to take action for three years; that is incorrect—the three-year figure is inaccurate.
“These arrears began in May of this year—just a few months ago. There were indeed arrears in the past—occasional outstanding balances—but after we issued reminder notices, they would settle the arrears.
“However, this unpaid sum of RM314 million accumulated starting from May of this year—only a few months ago—not over three years,” he said during a press conference today.
Two days ago, JPJ suspended the services of My E.G. Sdn Bhd and Zetrix AI Berhad (under the MYEG Group) as the collection agent, after taking into account compliance with the stipulated terms and conditions of the agreement, as well as the status of obligations yet to be fulfilled or settled by the company concerned. - October 5, 2026
