National Registration Department (JPN) announces temporary nationwide disruption to MyKad printing services from Aug 26 to 31 for transition to New Generation MyKad.

PETALING JAYA: MyKad printing services nationwide are expected to experience temporary disruptions from Aug 26 to 31 as the National Registration Department (JPN) transitions from the existing MyKad structure to the New Generation MyKad.

In a statement, JPN advised members of the public who do not urgently need to apply for a MyKad replacement or renewal to postpone their applications during the transition period.

“Parents and guardians of children turning 12 who are applying for their first MyKad are also encouraged to wait until the issuance of the New Generation MyKad begins in the near future,” it said.

JPN apologised for any inconvenience caused and thanked the public for their patience and cooperation throughout the transition period.
