- The remains are believed to belong to a woman aged between 25 and 45, whose identity is yet to be confirmed.
- Officers are currently unsure how long the remains had been at the West London location prior to their discovery on 12 August.
- A post-mortem examination took place on 17 August, prompting the formal opening of the murder probe.
- Detective Chief Inspector Wayne Jolley has appealed for anyone with relevant information to contact the police while a crime scene remains in place.
