Mystery surrounds human remains found in London

• Metropolitan Police have launched a murder investigation following the discovery of human remains in woodland near Padstow Walk, Feltham.
• The remains are believed to belong to a woman aged between 25 and 45, whose identity is yet to be confirmed.
• Officers are currently unsure how long the remains had been at the West London location prior to their discovery on 12 August.
• A post-mortem examination took place on 17 August, prompting the formal opening of the murder probe.
• Detective Chief Inspector Wayne Jolley has appealed for anyone with relevant information to contact the police while a crime scene remains in place.
