MyTOWN Shopping Centre launches Rhythm of Reunion CNY campaign with IKEA partnership, prizes up to RM50,000

MyTOWN Shopping Centre has launched its Chinese New Year 2026 campaign, “Rhythm of Reunion,” running from January 29 to February 22, 2026. The festive celebration emphasizes togetherness and shared traditions while offering shoppers an extensive lineup of activities, performances, and exclusive rewards.

The Kuala Lumpur shopping destination has partnered with IKEA for the “Two Stops, More Rewards” campaign, giving shoppers opportunities to win daily prizes and rewards totaling up to RM50,000.

“Our collaboration with IKEA allows us to deliver greater value across both destinations, as a way of thanking our shoppers for being part of the MyTOWN community,” said Mohd Azhan Che Mat, General Manager of MyTOWN Shopping Centre. “Through ‘Rhythm of Reunion’, we hope to create meaningful moments that bring families and communities together this Chinese New Year.”

Exclusive Member Rewards

MyTOWNKL members can redeem exclusive Chinese New Year merchandise starting from just 228 reward points for festive red packets, while a travel tea set is available at 628 reward points until 22 February 2026.

Hong Kong Teahouse Experience

Central Town has been transformed with Hong Kong teahouse-inspired décor, creating a nostalgic ambience complete with a reflective lantern room, interactive corners, and photo-worthy installations. The Seasons & Smiles photobooth pop-up on the Ground Floor offers studio-quality portraits for shoppers to capture memories with loved ones.

MyTOWN premiered a brand film produced by Musang King Group, depicting families reuniting despite their differences, reinforcing the campaign’s reunion theme.

Festive Food and New Tenants

Seasonal offerings are available from Jin Ye Ye, GPR Gold Butter Cookies, BrownieMunch, Wonderlab, Canton Boy, Nah Honey, Awesome Snack, Happy2U, and more.

The shopping centre welcomes new tenants this month including Japanese home furnishing brand NITORI, international kids’ wear brand Balabala, Malaysian bag specialist Sometime, modest wear brand Bayu Somerset, and Bakar Thai Bowl at MyGROUND. Upcoming additions include Siti Khadijah and Akemi.

Activities and Performances

The celebration features CNY Chop! Chop! Chop! stationery activities mall-wide from January 30 to February 22, traditional lion dance performances at 3pm in Central Town on weekends and public holidays from January 31 to February 22, and LED acrobatic lion dance shows at 7:30pm in Town Park on Chinese New Year Day 1 and Day 2.

CNY workshops run from 12pm to 8pm on weekends and public holidays (February 7-22) in front of Rituals on the Ground Floor. On February 7 at 2pm in Central Town, shoppers can enjoy performances and meet-and-greets with Steady Gang, Priscilla Abby, Thomas, Daniel, Isaac Voo, and Isaac Lim.
