Fiorentina chief Joe Barone admits they remain keen on Daniele de Rossi.
De Rossi is considering retirement after leaving Roma at the end of the season.
But Barone says the door is open to De Rossi joining the Viola, "He would be valuable in our dressing room. He can help all our young players to grow. We look forward to knowing what he will decide. If he continues or closes with football.
"With De Rossi we would take him with great pleasure."
