Like England coach Thomas Tuchel, Germany boss Julian Nagelsmann has also strongly criticized the position of the photographers during the national anthem ceremonies ahead of the World Cup matches.

According to the coaches, the photographers stand directly in front of them and block their view of the teams.

"What's really crazy here is how close it is. I had a photo taken from just one centimetre away with huge lens. That's really, really close," Nagelsmann said after his team qualified to the knock-out stage with a 2-1 win over Ivory Coast.

Tuchel had the same complaint after England's 4-2 win against Croatia in their World Cup opener, saying that he missed a special and emotional moment.

"I don't know how much we're allowed to complain. But I agree with Thomas Tuchel. It really is an emotional moment when you connect with the players during the national anthem," Nagelsmann said.

The photographers are positioned even closer to the bench than they usually are for matches in the Bundesliga or in the Champions League, Nagelsmann coach said.

Following Tuchel's criticism FIFA said it would make changes to the photographers' position.
