THE Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) has approved Nanchao Renewable Energy Corp.‘s application to develop point-to-point limited transmission facilities to connect its 100.051 megawatt-peak (MWp) Pasuquin-Burgos solar power plant to the national grid.

In a March 30 decision released on Wednesday, the regulator said this would be implemented in two phases.

The first is an interim connection to the 100-MW Pasuquin solar power plant substation owned by Energy Logics Philippines Inc. The second is a final connection to National Grid Corp. of the Philippines’ 115-kilovolt Laoag substation.

The ERC said the planned facilities include two substations, several single-circuit transmission lines for each of the substations, step-up transformer and single-bus switchyard.

The total estimated cost for these facilities is P115.22 million, it added.

Construction has not yet started based on relevant dates submitted by Nanchao in compliance with the manifestation dated January 14, the ERC also said.
