National bowler Natasha Mohamed Roslan aims to lead Malaysia to victory in the women’s team event at the 2026 IBF World Cup in Germany.
KUALA LUMPUR: National bowler Natasha Mohamed Roslan is aiming to help Malaysia win the women’s team gold medal at the 2026 International Bowling Federation (IBF) World Cup, scheduled to be held in Munich, Germany, from Oct 13 to 21.
Natasha believes the national squad’s strong team spirit and communication can propel Malaysia to the title after finishing runners-up following a 2-3 defeat to the United States in the final in Hong Kong last year.
“I hope we can improve this year. The team event is always the target because every player gets to bring home a medal,” she said when met recently.
Meanwhile, the 30-year-old acknowledged that defending her individual World Cup title would not be easy but remained determined to give her best.
She expects stiffer competition in the individual event from bowlers representing the United States, Germany, Sweden and Singapore, as well as her own teammates.
Natasha made history by becoming the first Malaysian woman in 13 years to win the IBF World Cup after defeating Germany’s Birgit Noreiks 217-166, 226-169.
