Nate Diaz has fired a blunt shot at UFC lightweight champion Ilia Topuria in his latest social media post.

The Stockton native has never been known for subtlety, and his newest comment followed that same pattern.

With speculation swirling about a potential UFC return, Diaz made sure to insert himself back into the conversation. This time, Ilia Topuria was the target.

Nate Diaz calls out Ilia Topuria on social media

In a post shared on X via Nate Diaz, he wrote: “Topuria’s a d______”

The remark was brief but pointed at the reigning UFC lightweight champion. Diaz did not provide additional context, though the timing coincides with renewed chatter about his potential return to mixed martial arts.

Topuria has quickly risen to the top of the division, and any verbal swipe from Diaz immediately draws attention, given his history with high-profile feuds.

Nate Diaz UFC return talk intensifies

In recent months, Diaz has hinted at multiple possible matchups if he steps back into the Octagon. He has floated the idea of facing the winner of the BMF title bout between Max Holloway and Charles Oliveira at UFC 326.

Diaz has also publicly mentioned Conor McGregor, Dustin Poirier, and Mike Perry as potential opponents. A trilogy with McGregor has long been discussed, while a scheduled bout with Poirier previously fell through. Perry has been linked to Diaz in bare-knuckle discussions.

Diaz last competed in the UFC at UFC 279, submitting Tony Ferguson before venturing into boxing. He lost to Jake Paul in 2023 and defeated Jorge Masvidal in 2024.

Whether his comment toward Topuria signals genuine interest or simple provocation remains unclear. With Diaz, both are always possible.
