Nathan Studios Inc. has entered talent management for the first time, signing several cast members of the award-winning film “I’mPerfect,” including actors with Down syndrome, along with dance champion Ice Almeria.

Metro Manila Film Festival Best Actress Krystel Go, actor Earl Jonathan Amaba, and their fellow cast members formally joined the company during a contract-signing ceremony on Feb. 3 in Quezon City. The artists were accompanied by their parents.

Almeria, grand champion of the dance competition “Time to Dance,” also signed with Nathan Studios and is now under the management of actress-producer Sylvia Sanchez, who heads the company’s newly launched talent management arm.

Sanchez said the signing marked more than a business agreement.

“This is not just a contract signing; this is the beginning of a long journey together. At Nathan Studios, we believe that talent has no limitations. It is not measured in numbers, but in heart, effort and courage to show yourself,” she said.

“These artists — our angels, our persons with Down syndrome — are full of raw skills, creativity and a kind of authenticity that is always true and whole.”

Sanchez said the company believed in the “I’mPerfect” cast even before production began.

“We already saw your potential. We believed in you even before the cameras rolled — before the lights, before the applause,” she told her talents.

“Recently, that belief was proven true when you made history at the Metro Manila Film Festival: Best Picture, Best Actress for Krystel Go, Best Cast and Best Sound. A huge success not just for the movie, but for every dream you hold.”Getting more emotional as she went on, Sanchez expressed, “We see your hard work. And most of all, we believe in you — not just as artists, but as individuals with voices, stories and a light that can open minds and hearts,” she added.

Addressing Almeria’s signing, Sanchez said, “Aside from our ‘I’mPerfect’ artists, this is also a contract signing for the winner of our dance competition ‘Time to Dance’ at ABS-CBN, Ice Almeria. Although we are primarily a production company, this contract signing is our way to honor our artists and watch them grow from one project to the next, whether in showbiz or beyond television.

“We do not promise heaven and earth, but one thing is for sure: We will do everything we can to be with you, guide you and help you achieve your dreams. This contract is a sign of trust.”

Sanchez also thanked the families who supported the artists throughout their journey.“Thank you so much for your unwavering support, trust and love — a foundation made strong because of you. Welcome to Nathan Studios. This is just the beginning, and we are proud to be on this journey with you.”

Nathan Studios said the newly signed artists are expected to take part in future projects as the company expands its talent management division alongside its film production work.
