
SEREMBAN - Parti Orang Asli Malaysia (Asli) and Parti Sosialis Malaysia (PSM) today announced their respective candidates for two state seats in the upcoming Negeri Sembilan state election.
Asli president Rashid Ka’ told reporters that the party had named Dayana Dal, 40, as its candidate for the Jeram Padang seat.
Meanwhile, PSM deputy chairman S. Arutchelvan announced community activist S. Tinagaran, 49, as the party's candidate for the Rahang seat.
Separately, Malaysian United Democratic Alliance (Muda) president Amira Aisya Abdul Aziz said the party would not contest in the state election.
Nominations are on Saturday, followed by early voting on July 28 and polling on Aug 1. - BERNAMA
