Nelly and Jessica Korda are set for a special week on the LPGA Tour at the Ford Championship.
The sisters will compete together in the same official event for the first time in nearly three years when they tee it up at Whirlwind Golf Club.
It marks a significant moment given Jessica’s long absence from competitive golf.
And the six-time LPGA Tour winner has now opened up on her return and her admiration for her younger sister.
Nelly and Jessica Korda to compete in same LPGA event for three years
This week’s Ford Championship provides a rare opportunity to see the Korda sisters competing side by side again.
Jessica has not featured regularly on the LPGA Tour since 2023, when she withdrew after the first round of the Founders Cup.
Since then, she has stepped away from the game due to a back injury and the birth of her first child, Greyson.

The pair have played together in unofficial events, including the Grant Thornton Invitational in December and the Seminole Pro-Member earlier this month.
But this marks their first appearance together in an official LPGA tournament in almost three years.
Jessica Korda opens up on comeback and admiration for Nelly’s game
Jessica admitted there was a time when she did not expect to return to competitive golf.
“I didn’t think I would tee it up again after I was withdrawing from a couple of events in 2023, so being here, feeling good, we’ll see where it takes us,” she said, via Golfweek. “Three years is a very long time.”
The 33-year-old continues to manage her back issues, while also working on technical changes to her swing.
“I played injured for so long that I created some bad habits, so it was just going backwards to watching Nelly’s hips rotate so nicely, and that’s exactly what I strive to do,” she explained. “But it’s a very slow process.”
Jessica also spoke openly about her admiration for Nelly, who is currently one of the world’s standout players.
“I’m super jealous of how she rotates to the ball right now. I think that’s something I strive for,” she added.
“But her feel, touch around the greens, playing in tough conditions, how she just burrows down. I think if you see her name up on the leaderboard during crappy weather, you’re like, ‘Oh, cr–.’
“And then what annoys me is exactly that, is just her steady attitude. You just know that she would rather rip your throat out than lose.”
