Nelly Korda leads by three strokes heading into the final round of the Riviera Maya Open.

Korda has been in sensational form on the LPGA Tour this season, with two wins and three runner-up finishes to her name in just five starts.

The 27-year-old from Bradenton, Florida, has come out firing this year and is already making up for her winless 2025 season.

Nelly Korda’s win at the Chevron Championship last week was a great example of just how dominant she is right now.

And Korda has carried that form on into the Riviera Maya Open.

Rounds of 68, 67 and 67 have put her at the top of the leaderboard heading into the final round on Sunday, three shots clear of Arpichaya Yubol.

Nelly Korda’s opinion on the crowds after three days at the Riviera Maya Open

The 27-year-old is clearly the fan favorite at Mayakoba.

That’s nothing new; she receives huge support everywhere she goes.

Korda responded when asked by reporters what she had made of the fans in Mexico this week.

I mean, the crowds have been great. The location is great, Korda said.

Yeah, it’s been nice. I haven’t been back here in a really long time. You know, when you have the vibe that you have on 18, it is a lot of fun, but it is hot out here.

So, I show much appreciation to the fans who come out and stuck out all 18 holes.

Korda will have the fans right behind her on Sunday as well, as she looks to secure the 18th victory of her PGA Tour career.

Arpichaya Yubol comments on Nelly Korda final day pairing at Mayakoba

Yubol will be paired with Korda on Sunday in Mexico, and she clearly couldn’t be happier at the thought of playing alongside the world number one.

All right. It’s like my dream come true, the 24-year-old from Thailand said.

So how do you say, like it’s like my dream. I never play with her before. Like Nelly, Nelly Korda, Lydia Ko, so they both kind of like, how do you say, like my idol, kind of like that, because they play very good.

And if I have to play with her tomorrow it’s just like my dream is come true. So my life is complete right now.

So I just do my best and let everything happen.

Arpichaya Yubol will have to be at her very best to catch Nelly Korda on Sunday at Mayakoba. She certainly has the game to shoot a low number but much will depend on how the American world number one plays.
