Who is Samra, and what does she have to do with coffee? Such must be the question mulling over everyone’s heads as Nespresso announces a new collaboration with The Weeknd for a limited-edition coffee blend, named the Nespresso | SAMRA Origins Togetherness Blend. Samra, as we will soon find out, is the name of Abel Tesfaye’s (The Weeknd) mother, and he named this collection after the woman who showed her unwavering support for his career since day one. Timed with the artist’s After Hours Til Dawn world tour, think of it as the pre-show soundtrack, poured into a cup.
A love letter, in coffee form
The partnership with Nespresso is steeped in intimacy, celebrating the everyday coffee ritual and the real connections made over a shared cup. The idea is that coffee can be a creative catalyst, one that reaches past the cup into art, music, and culture. For The Weeknd, this ritual is a personal one, whether at home or on tour. At home it’s a moment of reflection; on tour, it’s a familiar constant that keeps him grounded wherever he lands. He takes his coffee black, whether hot or over ice, and says the Togetherness Blend “hits all the right notes.”
The Nespresso | SAMRA Origins Togetherness Blend is a light roast of African Arabicas. Expect vibrant citrus fruit notes, sweet honey, and a woody undertone. It’s smooth, approachable, and, as Nespresso puts it, made to be easy to love and easy to share.
The Listening Party
Nespresso is the headline sponsor of The Weeknd’s After Hours Til Dawn tour, which plays TM Stadium Nasional, Bukit Jalil, on 4 and 5 November 2026. Ahead of the shows, the brand is hosting the Nespresso | SAMRA Listening Party at The Living Room, W Kuala Lumpur, from 3 PM onwards. Expect a live DJ set, a tasting of the Togetherness Blend, a signature cocktail and coffee menu, and merchandise displays in a setting inspired by the collection’s visual identity. Five lucky fans will also win a pair of general admission tickets each to the tour.
