"KPop Demon Hunters" has been online for almost 11 months now and has been listed by Netflix for almost eight months as the streaming service's most successful film, with 325.1 million views and counting.
However, Netflix’s rankings only refer to the first 91 days online. The animated musical action blockbuster is still in the weekly top 10 of the most-streamed English-language films.
Adding up all views from the past 46 weeks brings the total to around 617 million.
The fantasy film, produced by Sony Pictures Animation, was released on June 20, 2025. It follows the K-pop girl group Huntrix (also written Huntr/X).
The three young women lead double lives as pop stars and demon hunters. They suddenly face competition from a popular boy band that also emerge to be a band of demons.
Netflix distinguishes in its rankings between films and series and divides them into English-language and non-English-language formats, meaning there are four lists.
In terms of views, "KPop Demon Hunters" is far ahead of all other formats, including the most successful series, "Squid Game", which gained 265.2 million views in the first 91 days of season 1 in 2021.
The film's hit song "Golden" was also the song of the summer for many families in 2025 and spent weeks at number one in the singles charts around the world, even still charting in the top 10 in some places.
