Chelsea hero Pat Nevin has insisted the club should stick with Graham Potter.

The manager is under fire at the Stamford Bridge club, as his side lost 1-0 to Southampton at home in the Premier League.

With the Blues stuck in 10th position in the league after massive summer and winter spending on players, Potter is facing the threat of the sack mere months into the start of his reign.

Writing in the Daily Mail, Nevin explained: "Chelsea are not a dull defensive team.

They're playing inventive football, as good as I've seen them play for a while.

For 35 minutes against Borussia Dortmund, they were really, really special.

And if they're not giving much away, they don't need to change a huge amount. It feels really close."
