Kota Kinabalu: New Australia High Commissioner to Malaysia, Danielle Heinecke, called on Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor at Menara Kinabalu, here, Thursday.

A senior career officer with the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Heinecke has held the position of First Assistant Secretary Pacific Melanesia Division and has previously served in Timor-Leste, Indonesia and Papua New Guinea.

Heinecke was in Sandakan last August for the Sandakan Memorial Day.

She was accompanied by Australia Honorary Consul to Sabah Datuk Andrew Sim Second Secretary, Australian High Commission’s Gabriela Brand and Australian High Commission Programme Manager Mahirah Marzuki. Hajiji (fifth right) with the PAC members.

Read more Meanwhile, the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) led by Chairperson Datuk Wira Mas Ermieyati Samsudin also met with Hajiji at Menara Kinabalu, Thursday.

At the meeting, Mas Ermieyati, who is also Masjid Tanah MP, briefed the Chief Minister on PAC’s working visit to Sabah beginning Sept 29, which included a visit to the site of the Sandakan water upgrading project and Tawau.

The PAC delegation consisted of 11 other MPs, namely Vivian Wong (Sandakan), Dato’ Adnan Abu Hassan (Kuala Pilah), Theresa Kok (Seputeh), Azli Yusof (Shah Alam), Dato’ Wira Dr Ku Abd Rahman Ku Ismail (Kubang Pasu), Dato’ Mohd Isam Mohd Isa (Tampin), Dr Hajah Halimah Ali (Kapar), Datuk Ali Anak Biju (Saratok), Ahmad Tarmizi Sulaiman (Sik), Ts Zahir Hassan (Wangsa Maju) and Dr Richard Rapu (Betong).
