Kota Kinabalu: Marie Yee has been elected as the new President of Wheel Club of Kota Kinabalu.
Taking the reign from Immediate Past President Olivia Wong, Marie said the club would embrace a fresh theme under the new term, dubbed “Shine a Light”.
“During the coming months, we will focus on shining a light on key issues that require our attention. We will strive to empower women and children, promote education and literacy, support healthcare initiatives, and champion environmental sustainability.
“This theme represents our collective commitment to illuminating the lives of those around us, spreading hope, and making a difference in our community.

“I firmly believe that our Inner Wheel Club of Kota Kinabalu has an incredible reservoir of talent, passion, and dedication. Together, we can make a significant impact and leave a lasting legacy,” she said in her speech during the club’s 69th Installation Night, recently.
Also present was Guest of Honour District Chairman - District 331 Cecilia Amid.
Marie encouraged members to actively participate, contribute ideas, and lend their skills to the club’s shared mission.
“Let us embrace the challenges ahead with enthusiasm and optimism, knowing that our collective efforts can truly make a difference,” she said.
