New Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer leaks ahead of official release

It appears data miners have struck again, as a new trailer for the upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day has reportedly leaked online ahead of its intended release.

The leaked footage features a large red "X" across the screen alongside the warning, "Do Not Duplicate – Property of Sony," as well as a "DMS" watermark. Although the video is in HD quality, it was cropped and zoomed in, likely to avoid automatic copyright detection and takedowns.

Based on descriptions of the leaked  trailer, the footage shows Peter Parker (Tom Holland) undergoing significant physical changes. He develops organic webbing, heightened senses, and a more aggressive demeanor.

Concerned about these mutations, Peter seeks the help of Bruce Banner/The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) to better understand what is happening to him.

The trailer also featured Michelle Jones (Zendaya) and Ned Leeds (Jacob Batalon) interacting with Peter, a team-up involving Frank Castle/The Punisher (Jon Bernthal), a fight scene with the Hulk,  and an encounter with a new mysterious character played by Sadie Sink.

Sony moves to remove leaked footage

Sony quickly responded to the leak by issuing takedown notices across multiple social media platforms, including X and YouTube. Several accounts that shared the footage have reportedly been suspended.

Many of the leaked scenes appear to contain unfinished visual effects, suggesting they may have come from incomplete or alternate versions of the trailer still in development.

The leak has also fueled speculation that a marketing folder containing various trailer cuts may have been exposed, raising questions about Sony's security measures given the studio's history of high-profile leaks.
