Knicks chase title in Game 5 against Spurs
Game 5 was being played at Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, with the Knicks leading the Spurs 3-1 in the series.
That made it a potential championship-clinching night for New York. A win would deliver the franchise’s first title in more than 50 years.
The Knicks arrived with momentum after their stunning Game 4 comeback at Madison Square Garden.
New York had trailed by 29 points before Jalen Brunson and OG Anunoby powered a 107-106 win, with Anunoby tipping in Brunson’s late miss to complete one of the wildest Finals finishes in years.
That is why Skattebo’s courtside appearance landed with fans. This was not just another celebrity sighting. It was New York sports turning up together for a possible title night.
