The New York Knicks swept the Philadelphia 76ers last Sunday with a dominant 144-114 victory to secure their place in the Eastern Conference Finals.

New York will now face either the Cleveland Cavaliers or the Detroit Pistons as they continue chasing what would be their first NBA championship since 1973.

Beyond booking their place in the next round, the Knicks also achieved a remarkable postseason milestone after another emphatic closeout performance against Philadelphia.

According to ESPN, the Knicks became just the fourth team in NBA history to record multiple 30-point series-clinching wins during a single postseason.

The only other teams to achieve the feat were the 2025 Oklahoma City Thunder, the 2008 Boston Celtics and the 1987 Los Angeles Lakers.

All three of those teams eventually went on to win the NBA championship, which immediately strengthened optimism surrounding New York’s postseason run this year.

Before the stunning win over the 76ers, the Knicks destroyed the Atlanta Hawks 140-89 in Game 6 during the opening round of the playoffs.

Miles McBride produced one of the strangest playoff scoring displays

Miles McBride also delivered one of the most unusual scoring performances of the postseason during the win over Philadelphia.

The Knicks guard finished with 25 points without making a single two-point basket throughout the contest.

McBride converted all four of his free throw attempts while knocking down seven of his nine shots from three-point range.
