
LAHAD DATU: A 51-year-old man was shocked to find a newborn boy abandoned on top of his chicken coop at Kampung Jawa, here, Monday morning.
District Police Chief ACP Rohan Shah Ahmad said the baby in his birthday suit was discovered at 6.30am.
He said a team from the Lahad Datu police headquarters was deployed to the scene.
“The baby weighing 3kg has been sent to Lahad Datu Hospital for observation,” he said, adding the case was being investigated under Section 317 of the Penal Code.
