Newcastle United have agreed to pay a 38 million fee for Leicester winger Harvey Barnes.
The left-sided attacker was a key target for manager Eddie Howe going into the new season.
With Allan Saint-Maximin departing in a mega money deal to a Saudi Pro League club, Barnes will take his place in the squad.
Per The Mail, such was Howe's desire to sign Barnes that he was the one who sanctioned Saint-Maximin's sale.
The head coach knows the club must balance the books for Financial Fair Play purposes.
Newcastle have also spent big money on the arrival of Sandro Tonali from AC Milan.
