Newcastle boss Eddie Howe admits he selected Jacob Murphy injured for their 2-2 draw at Leeds.
Murphy was left on the bench for the day.
Speaking after the game, Howe said: Jacob just had a sore groin today. That's why he didn't enter the pitch."
Meanwhile, Joe White has been recalled from his loan with Exeter and is training with the senior squad.
