Newcastle United's major summer purchase Alexander Isak is still not 100 percent fit.

That is according to manager Eddie Howe, who spoke about his team's goal scoring woes recently.

The Swedish striker has been involved in matches lately, but has rarely completed 90 minutes for the Magpies.

Howe stated: [Isak] wants to play like every player, I'm sure.

I've not really had a huge long conversation about keeping him fit early on after his serious injury he had. Building confidence.

Is he 100% ready to play 90 minutes on a consistent basis?

Probably not. But he will get there. We will build him to that level."
