Newcastle United boss Eddie Howe is delighted with the current form of Sean Longstaff.
The midfielder is showing career best form.
And Howe said, "Sean has been excellent, he really has. He's physically very good, tireless with his energy, defensively very good and I think improving all aspects of his game.
"There are goals in him as well and those will hopefully come in the future but to this point he has been a vital cog in our team.
"When you go back to where Sean was a year ago there was a lot of uncertainty attached to his future. He is Newcastle through and through and is desperate to be here but wanted to feel valued and see a path to his future. I did see someone that was very committed and could have an important part in our future."
