Newcastle United boss Eddie Howe started today's clash with Crystal Palace having Sandro Tonali on the bench.
The midfielder spent part of the week in Italy speaking with local prosecutors over his alleged betting habits.
Rather than start the Italy international, Howe named Tonali on the bench.
At halftime, Newcastle are 3-0 ahead at St James' Park.
Howe also decided against risking Alexander Isak with the player recovering from a muscle injury. That meant Jacob Murphy, Callum Wilson and Anthony Gordon led the line.
