Newcastle boss Eddie Howe feels for Scott Parker after his dismissal by Bournemouth.
Parker lost his job days after Bournemouth's 9-0 defeat at Liverpool. The Londoner had been critical of the board in the aftermath.
Howe, a former Cherries manager, said this morning: "I just found out on the way here.
"I was naturally surprised and disappointed for Scott. He did a great job leading them up.
"Given I don't know what is happening at other clubs, I wouldn't pass comments beyond my support for Scott."
