Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has slammed Bournemouth's owners after the sacking of Scott Parker today.

Parker was axed by Bournemouth just days after their 9-0 thrashing at Liverpool.

Klopp reacted this morning, saying: "When I heard the news, I thought it was the moment when you realise how important the right owners are. It is not about spending; there are different systems with which clubs are led.

"Countries own clubs and there are still rules stopping them doing what they want. If they could stretch their resources that would be strange, they could do everything because they are owned by countries.

"Then there are clubs with other structures like us, then there are teams like Bournemouth. Three times came up, Nottingham Forest are spending, Fulham are doing some stuff and I don't remember Bournemouth doing a lot. That is difficult when you come up to the Premier League,"
