Newcastle United midfielder Sean Longstaff says he didn't want to see Nathaniel Chalobah sent off.
The Fulham midfielder's early challenge on Longstaff saw him see red and helped Newcastle win 4-1 on the day in London.
Longstaff said:It's a contact sport. These things are going to happen when the game is moving so fast.
"I don't want to see anyone get sent off because you know how you would feel if it happened to you, but that is what the referee decided.
"I was all right - and the main thing was to take advantage. We were lucky to do that. So it was a great day for us and hopefully we can kick on from it.
"The sending off made it easier but it can be just as tricky against 10 men. You need to take full advantage of it and we have done that with a really good team performance.
"[Miguel Almiron's first goal] is unbelievable. He has got that quality on that left foot and the pass from Bruno [Guimarães] is the reason he is going to a World Cup with Brazil. He is a top player and we are lucky to have him."
