Newcastle United midfielder Sandro Tonali has left the door open to returning to AC Milan.
Tonali impressed in Newcastle's 0-0 draw at San Siro last night for their opening Champions League group game.
Afterwards, the Italy international told Mediaset: "It was beautiful, from the first to the last second. There is no other way to describe this evening, I will remember it forever.
"It always has a certain effect coming back here, where I spent so many games, joys and less beautiful things."
Asked if he could return, Tonali left his options open.
"I don't know. I would pay to know the future, to know the history. Maybe yes, maybe no, football is strange. Let's not close any doors."
