Newcastle United extend BetMGM deal with parent company LeoVegas

Premier League club Newcastle United has signed a multi-year deal with the LeoVegas Group to make BetMGM an official UK and European betting partner.

The new deal with the UK betting site and online casino builds on a partnership that has been running since 2023, with BetMGM now set to sponsor a range of activations including a ‘Flight of the Mags’ tournament – which tests fans against current and former first-team players and darts players – and the BetMGM Half-Time Challenge, where fans will get a chance to win a trip to Las Vegas, Nevada.

“Newcastle United's ambition matches our own, and that shared drive is what's made this partnership so natural from the start. Supporters have fully embraced the BetMGM brand, and moments like the Half-Time Challenge is exactly why we wanted to extend our commitment,” said Andy Wright, LeoVegas Group’s managing director in the UK and Ireland.

“As we continue to grow, partnering with a club that shares our appetite to get better every year is exactly where we want to be – and we’re looking forward to bringing even more of that signature Las Vegas energy to St. James’ Park this season and beyond,” he added.

“Our partnership with BetMGM has become a real favourite amongst our supporters over the last three seasons, consistently delivering memorable, fan-first experiences and generating viral moments that have driven our marketing ambitions,” explained Newcastle United Chief Revenue Officer, Dave O’Connor.

“Renewing our partnership is testament to the strong trust and shared success we’ve built together. It reinforces our relentless ambition to build a powerful, global commercial portfolio, partnering with best-in-class brands across diverse sectors,” he added.

The deal is another in a raft of agreements between Premier League clubs and betting brands in a new season where gambling companies have been banned as front-of-shirt sponsors in the top flight.
