Kota Kinabalu: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor is confident the GRS-led State Government under his leadership will again be given the opportunity by the people to continue governing Sabah.

He said there is still much to do to develop the State and enhance the peoples’ wellbeing.

Advertisement“With an open heart and mind, I hope this Government will be given another opportunity to continue governing this blessed State. “If this government returns to power, God willing, we will continue to work together to successfully implement and further strengthen the Hala Tuju Sabah Maju Jaya (SMJ) Policy.

“The Hala Tuju SMJ 1.0 Development Plan will evolve into SMJ 2.0 for the prosperity of the State and the wellbeing of all its people, in line with our agenda to make Sabah a great State,” he said.

The Chief Minister said the Government’s grand agenda today is to make Sabah an outstanding and excellent State in various development sectors.

He said to successfully elevate Sabah, cooperation and mutual understanding between State leaders and civil servants must be firmly established and continuously strengthened in the name of accountability and love for the State and nation.

He added the strong State-Federal relationship has brought many benefits to Sabah, with numerous issues and concerns not only being discussed but resolved.

“This includes legal and legislative matters, issues related to the Malaysia Agreement 1963, and, more importantly, collaboration between the State Government and Petronas,” he added.

Hajiji expressed his gratitude to all members of the State and Federal civil service, who, for nearly five years, have consistently supported his leadership.

“Despite the many challenges and obstacles, I take pride in knowing that you civil servants, continue to stand firmly behind me,” he said.

“May our State and country remain peaceful and prosperous. Let us strengthen our resolve and determination to achieve our aspirations and dreams of making Sabah – the Land below the Wind – a progressive, prosperous, peaceful and harmonious State,” he said.
