KPKT and Wisma Putra are working to locate two JBPM personnel uncontactable after devastating flash floods in Rasuwa, Nepal
IPOH: The Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT) is working closely with Wisma Putra to locate two Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) personnel who remain uncontactable following devastating flash floods in Rasuwa, Nepal.
Minister Nga Kor Ming said KPKT was making every effort to trace the two personnel, who are among more than 50 Malaysians still uncontactable.
“I ask all Malaysians to pray for the safety of our two ‘red heroes’ who have yet to be traced. We really hope they are safe and will be found soon,” he said after officiating the Jom Makan Ipoh Expo here last night.
Nga said the ministry, through JBPM, was keeping in close contact with the families of the two officers.
The two officers, JBPM Headquarters Planning and Research Division Deputy Director Mohd Sani Harul and JBPM Central Region Academy officer Mohd Fakhrul Munir Mohd Isa, were previously reported to be uncontactable following the flash floods.
The two officers were among 10 Malaysians who departed for Nepal last Monday night as part of a trip to Everest Base Camp.
