WHEN a person chooses to own a dog it is a huge responsibility! If you only want to own a dog just because it is a pedigree given to you for “free” then you should consider what’s your real motivation in owning a pet.
I am sorry, but all dogs are the same just as all humans are. It does not mean if one is European, he/she is better than an Asian, and vice versa.
The most important thing is what you do on this earth when you are alive – and it should come from the heart!A dog is a genuinely loyal companion always happy to see you, greeting you with love and joy any time.
It is, however, important to know that a dog cannot eat any chocolate as it is like poison to them.
It is important to remember to crack your window open at least 3-5 inches when you decide to leave your dog in your car while u pop out to buy something quickly. And we mean quickly! It is also very important to provide your dog/cat with decent food and very importantly water for their own health issuesDo not chain your dog constantly especially on a short leash. The dog should have a comfortable area where it can roam around freely without being able to escape and also have a cool shady place to rest and lay down in safety and comfort! Yelling or hitting your pet is a no-no; as it will cause them to be anxious and fearful.
Dogs are social creatures; by isolating them and constantly ignoring them could cause depression, anxiety and loneliness.
Dogs also should not be allowed out to be outside unsupervised. The dogs could get injured or lost!If you have no time for even one of the above, please do not own a dog any dog! Save yourself time and money and live a stress-free life.
Many owners want to own a dog just for security reasons and these owners do not really care for them.
Quite often you will see these owners allowing their dogs out on their own and they are not bothered when their dogs get lost or injured. They will simply just get another dog! Why do these humans not allow their young children out to roam by themselves then? Then only will they realise how dangerous and selfish it is to allow their dogs out!Malaysia has to take serious steps to enforce the AWE laws. If is senseless and useless having huge meetings to get laws approved but not enforcing them is just a waste of everyone’s time.
All citizens are liable no matter who one is whether a Chief Minister or an ordinary citizen. No one is exempt! Laws are laws and are meant to be applied to each and everyone no matter who one is. In fact as a VIP it is more important to obey all laws to show all citizens that laws apply to everyone not to some only! This is where Jabatan Haiwan (JH) should step in and do their work accordingly.
Once these errant owners are given warnings and/or fined we can assure u a repeat will not be forthcoming! We do hope Sabah can be a good example for Malaysia and the world to look at and respect as being serious about animal laws.
As said earlier, there is no point having meetings with officials present but laws are never enforced. Laws are laws and they apply to everyone no matter whether one is a minister or a regular citizen.
