Kota Kinabalu: Large-scale solar projects should be encouraged in Sabah to generate electricity, especially in the north and east coast of Sabah for residential and commercial consumers to meet the current and future demands of electricity.
Consumer Front of Sabah (Cfos) President Nordin Thani said, consumer awareness in the rural and urban areas of renewable energy are on the rise, especially on the use of solar products.
“Two factors that have contributed to this awareness are electricity cost and environmental,” he said in a statement.
