Nice have approached Barcelona for Miralem Pjanic.
Foot Mercato says the Bosnian midfielder has earned the right to stay Barça, per coach Xavi Hernandez, but interest from French club Nice could test that opinion.
Nice have made contact with Barça to sound out Pjanic's situation.
For the moment, they have not yet presented a formal offer.
And as stated, Xavi will be reluctant to lose the veteran after an impressive showing in preseason. Pjanic spent last season on-loan with Besiktas.
