KOTA BHARU - Former Bachok MP Nik Abduh Nik Abdul Aziz will not be contesting at the upcoming state elections in Kelantan.
The son of the late Kelantan menteri besar Tan Sri Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat's was not listed for the Chempaka state seat during the Perikatan Nasional Kelantan's candidates list announcement at Dataran Warisan Stadium Sultan Muhammad IV here, tonight.
Previously, the Ulama Council had said that Nik Abduh's name passed the screening to be nominated as a candidate for the state elections.
In the previous General Election (GE15), Nik Abduh, who held the Bachok parliamentary seat, made the decision not to defend his constituency.
