For quite some time, rumours of a special Halloween edition Nike Air Jordan 5 sneaker were doing the rounds. Now, those rumours have been substantiated with a confirmed release date, price, and first looks at the shoe.
Highlighted as part of Nike’s retro-themed sneakers, this Air Jordan 5 features a spooky colourway matching the holiday it is named after. The footwear manufacturer is positioning it as lifestyle wear instead of a traditional running shoe.

Design
Dubbed ‘Black/Picante Red/Green’ colourway, the primary tone of this Nike Air Jordan 5 sneaker gives it a stealth appearance. Meanwhile, the signature shark-tooth ridges and the visible Air unit appear in Picante Red. The classic ‘Jumpman’ logo on the tongue, the ’23’ branding on the side, and the Nike Air stamp on the heel come in light green, and these glow in low-light environments.
Turn the shoe over, and there is a translucent rubber outsole with a Picante Red ‘Jumpman’ logo. Like the light green design elements, this outsole, too, glows in the dark.
Material and build
The entire silhouette is made of a premium matte-black nubuck suede, with a flexible, semi-rigid TPU netting on the side mesh. Synthetic leather wraps the tongue face.
The special Air Jordan 5 edition’s midsole houses a visible Air-Sole unit inside a polyurethane foam core. The entire shoe rests on a high-traction rubber outsole containing green photoluminescent crystals. A padded textile inner sleeve hides a holiday-themed ‘XX’ graphic stitch.

Price and availability
The Nike Air Jordan 5 ‘Halloween’ sneaker will be released globally on 17 October 2026, just in time for the holiday. This shoe will be priced at USD 220 (around MYR 889) and will be available for sale on the Nike SNKRS app.
