Nine hearses arrive to carry away bodies of aircraft tragedy victims

KLANG - The bodies of all Elmina place crash victims have begun being given to their families in stages starting this morning.

The hearses carrying victims arrived at the Tuanku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital (HTAR) Forensic Department grounds here on Sunday.

“The victims’ bodies would be managed by the Selangor Islamic Religious Department (Jais) to be brought towards Al-Rahimiah Mosque, here for their prayers before being sent to their respective burial sites.

The first body of the tragedy was claimed by his family on Saturday at 9.30am.

It was the body of Muhamad Hafiz Muhamad Salleh, 32, which would be brought to the Al-Rahimiah Mosque, here for prayers before he will be buried in the Al-Huda Mosque Cemetery, Kampung Jerong, Kedah.

A total of 10 individuals were confirmed dead due to the tragedy consisting of eight onboard the aircraft and two civilians.

Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan on Saturday was reported as stating that process of identifying all victims involved have concluded and the process went smoothly.
