NINE people, most of them trainee nurses, were injured when a Health Ministry van carrying 11 people crashed along Jalan Sultan Iskandar near Little India in Ipoh this morning.
District police chief Assistant Commissioner Muhammad Najib Hamzah said the 7.25am crash involved 10 passengers and the driver, with most of the passengers trainees from the Health Ministry’s Sultan Azlan Shah Training Institute in Tanjung Rambutan.
“All of them were travelling from the institute to Buntong Health Clinic for practical training,” he said.
Najib said police were investigating the cause of the crash. - September 23, 2026
