
Nine secondary school students sustained minor injuries after a tour bus carrying 35 students and a teacher crashed in Kota Belud, Sabah.
KOTA KINABALU: Nine secondary school students sustained minor injuries after the tour bus they were travelling in was involved in an accident at the Jalan Kota Belud-Kundasang T-junction today.
Kota Belud Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) chief Elge Bakuk said the department received an emergency call about the incident at 11 am and personnel arrived at the scene at 11.40 am.
He said the tour bus was chartered to transport 35 students and a teacher from the school.
“The victims were transported using the Health Ministry (MOH) and Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM) ambulances,” he said.
Elge said the operation involved two personnel from the Kota Belud BBP, with assistance from the Royal Malaysia Police, MOH and APM.
The operation ended at 12.32 pm, with no fatalities reported.
