KOTA BELUD: Nine SM Sains Sabah (Smesh) students suffered minor injuries after a tour bus carrying 35 students and a teacher was involved in an accident at the Jalan Kota Belud-Kundasang junction here on Monday.
Kota Belud Fire and Rescue Station Chief Elge Bakuk said the department received an emergency call at 11am following the 10.55am incident and dispatched a team to the scene.
“Upon arrival at 11.40am, the accident involved a tour bus carrying Smesh students,” he said.
Elge said the nine injured students were taken to Kota Belud Hospital for further treatment using ambulances from the Health Ministry in Tuaran and Kota Belud as well as the Civil Defence Force (APM).
The operation, which also involved police, Health Ministry personnel and APM, ended at 12.32pm after the scene was confirmed safe and under control.
