LABUAN: The Labuan Corporation has dispelled fears of electrical shock threats lurking at the Botanical Garden after it sent a team of electricians to the area to inspect the wire fittings and found that there was no cause for concern.
The LC promptly responded to complaints from public and a report in a chat group which stated that a jogger last Sunday felt almost electrocuted when he came into contact with a lamp post.
The complaint was supported by pictures of a loose fitting and exposed ground wire.
Another individual claimed seeing a dead biawak (monitor lizard), which seemed to be burnt, at the main entrance near the maintenance office.

A young hotel worker was electrocuted when he came in to contact with a post while walking on a 50m sheltered walkway near the financial park.
The swift response by LC in dealing with the complaints had won the praise of several, saying that LC did the right thing instead of going through formalities of filing complaints before taking action.
On March 24, Daily Express had highlighted that Botanical Garden was dangerous due to neglect.
