
PUTRAJAYA - Nga Kor Ming has announced he will not accept any gifts after officialy clocking in as Local Government Development Minister.
The newly-minted minister said the decision will save money which could be channelled to the poor.
“From today, my office will practice ‘no gift policy’ in any events or programmes.
“This is to reduce the burden of organisers. Instead of giving gifts, we can save and offer more to the poor.
“This is more meaningful,” he said at a press conference.
Nga, the former deputy Dewan Rakyat Speaker officially clocked in today at 8.50am under Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim-led unity government.
