‘No opposition reps in videos’

Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Umno Chief Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin refuted allegations by Gagasan Rakyat Vice President Datuk Masiung Banah that the opposition is behind the circulation of the controversial “Adun Rasuah” videos implicating several leaders in an alleged mining scandal.

“Masiung appears to be attempting to deflect public attention by pointing fingers at the opposition,” said Bung Moktar.

AdvertisementBung said the opposition had already denied any involvement in producing or distributing the videos.

He said all viral videos, including those featuring Masiung, clearly showed negotiations involving only GRS elected representatives.

These negotiations and discussions were internal GRS matters that eventually reached a deadlock,” Bung said.

He said the recordings clearly captured conversations of GRS representatives allegedly directly involved in receiving money.

He questioned why no legal action had been taken against the media or parties if the allegations were false.
