SHAH ALAM - No other individual with the title of Tun needs to be investigated by the authorities except former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, said former Umno Veterans Secretary General.
Datuk Mustapha Yaakub said the former Langkawi MP does not need to hide by pointing to other individuals to explain their source and acquisition of wealth assets.
"Don't involve other Tuns because they do not sakau (steal), we want to investigate the Tuns who steals.
"No need to mention other Tun, refer to yourself (Mahathir).
"Umno veterans fully support the call for the MACC (Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission) to expand their investigation, not only to Tun Daim (Zainuddin) but to Dr Mahathir, the Tun in question, himself," he said.
Meanwhile, Mustapha also wanted the investigation into Daim to involve Dr Mahathir following the alleged disappearance of several Umno assets worth hundreds of billions of ringgit.
"We hope to get an answer to the loss of Umno property when Dr Mahathir was Prime Minister and Daim was Finance Minister," he said.
